Study

God has revealed Himself to us through the Bible, written by holy men as inspired by God’s Holy Spirit. It is our duty to study the Bible to know God’s perspective on issues affecting our lives. In a sense, the Bible is like God’s instruction manual for how we should live our lives and run our societies.

Apart from helping us to know God, the Bible also helps us to understand the past, present, and future of mankind.

The Bible is divided into two major parts – The Old Testament and The New Testament. A good way to study the Bible is to start with the New Testament. And as we read, we should depend on God’s Holy Spirit to give us insights into God’s mind – particularly, as we take time to meditate on the words.

At the end of our lives, the basis of God’s judgment will be the Holy Bible. So the more we know about it and follow its teachings, the better we can live our lives in a way that pleases God.

Studying the Bible regularly in groups – church, fellowship, or similar settings – will give us new perspectives and a broader view of the word of God. With words that correct, encourage, and inspire, the Bible remains timeless, and is as relevant today as it was when it was written thousands of years ago

In addition to reading the Bible, it is also helpful to read Christian literature. The reading of these will often trigger new insights that can aid our understanding and application of God’s word.
