ENGAGE

       "Stay dressed for action and keep your lamps burning, and be like men who are waiting for their master to come home from the wedding feast, so that they may open the door to him at once when he comes and knocks."  (Luke 12:35-36)

ENGAGE is a three-pronged platform that is designed to help believers in Jesus Christ prepare for His second coming.

In several Bible passages, Jesus emphasised the importance of being alert and prayerful about His return as it will be very sudden and, to most people, totally unexpected.

The Parable of the Ten Virgins (Matthew 25:1-13) makes it very clear that all those who are not fully prepared for the return of Jesus will face the consequence – being shut out of His kingdom.

To help us to get ready for Him, Jesus wants believers to constantly keep His return in focus. However, the pressure of everyday life makes us to focus on other 'necessities' of life instead. This can be a costly distraction.

To counter this pressure, ENGAGE seeks to involve believers in the practical reality of getting ready for Him on a daily basis - PRAYING daily for His return, SERVING earnestly while we wait, and SHARING the good news of His second coming. Thus, on a day-to-day basis, we will be walking in the conscious reality of His return.

There are other benefits. The clearer our vision of the second coming of Jesus is, the more  we become aware of the vast implications of His return - to a Church that is not quite ready for Him, and to a world that continues to speed in ignorance towards the terrible day of God's final judgement.

And the more aware we become of these consequences, the more useful we will become in the hands of the Lord in praying for and reaching out to both the unprepared and the lost. This is the process that the ENGAGE platform seeks to facilitate.

Please note that ENGAGE is not a substitute for a godly, Christian lifestyle. Rather, it aims to channel our activities into a focused and active preparation for the return of the Lord.
